About Mark Johnson (1946-2004)
Well known for his persuasive style, Mark’s leadership, perseverance and good humor helped save the Dallas Ad League at one of its lowest points. Mark was instrumental during his presidential term from 1997-1998 in revitalizing Ad League programs and bringing the DAL back to financial solvency. Under his guidance and care, the DAL once again became a vital force for advertising in the Southwest. Mark retired in 2002 as the Southwest Region Advertising Manager of the Wall Street Journal after 21 years of service. He was a long time advocate and active volunteer in the Boy Scouts of America.
